Loader arm movement issues

When a loader arm only runs well at higher throttle, does that point to a faulty MRV, or should they be looking into something else first? Any insights from your experiences would be appreciated.

It sounds like the hydraulic pump might not be strong enough at low speeds, or the filters could be partly blocked, limiting the flow. First, check the pump pressure at different RPMs, and then take a look at the filters. If there are problems with the MRV, movement is usually uneven, no matter the throttle position.

It's also a good idea to look for any internal leaks in the control valve or worn spool seals, these issues can lower flow at low RPMs, even if high-throttle performance stays unaffected. Additionally, if there's a lag in the load-sensing circuit, it might delay the response until the pressure actually builds up.
