I have a 2017 JCB 8026 CTS, and the boom has been moving slowly, mostly when it's cold. I want to fix it myself before getting help. Does anyone have a service manual for this machine? Or any simple tips on what I should look at first? Thanks a lot for any help!

I've got the same model. Cold mornings = slow hydraulics until the oil warms. JCB recommends low-temp spec hydraulic fluid if you're running in cooler weather. Also worth checking the suction strainer and main return filter... they gum up fast and cause exactly what you're describing.

Here's a copy of the service manual. I hope this helps!

Leaky, old seals can cause pressure loss and slow things down. If the boom works fine when it's warmed up, the seals might be acting up because of temp issue
