For those experiencing slow boom movement on your JCB in the cold, what tips do you have for improving hydraulic response without major alterations?

Try using a hydraulic fluid with a lower viscosity that’s designed for cold weather, and allow the machine to idle a bit longer to heat up the system. It’s also a good idea to check for any sticky spool valves or filters that might be partially blocked, as these issues can become more pronounced in colder temperatures.

Hey, also, double-check the relief valve settings and see if there's any air in the lines. These things can make the response slower when it's cold, even if you're using the right fluid.

Hey, another thing you could do is warm up the hydraulic tank. Some people use those magnetic heaters to keep the oil flowing nicely before they start things up. Trust me, doing this little thing can really make a difference in how fast your boom moves when it's freezing cold!
