You pull up before dawn, turn the key, and then… you just sit there, waiting. What really makes a difference for JCBs in the chilly weather, block heaters or intake heaters? What’s been most effective for those early morning starts.

I tried going without heaters once. Huge fail. A cold engine made my tractor sound like it was about to die. Now I use a block heater and hope for the best. Works like a charm every time

Last winter taught me a lesson. Not using a block heater meant my engine coughed and sputtered for like, twenty minutes. Now I just plug it in the night before. Warm engine, warm coffee way better mornings.

Working early shifts taught me patience but also about block heaters. Plug it in, eat something, and when you get back, the engine is ready to go instead of making awful noises. It makes a big difference.

After freezing my fingers off a couple of times, I got an intake heater. Sounds small, but that thing changed everything. Now instead of HOPING it starts, it’s more like let’s go. Still have coffee while it warms up, though.
