When you hop into the cab on a frigid morning, you know that the hours ahead will challenge your comfort just as much as your machine. Some people swear by aftermarket heaters, while others depend on built-in heated seats to fend off the cold. What setups have you found to be the most effective during those long winter shifts, and how do they perform when the chill really sets in?

During my first winter working early shifts, the built-in heated seat was a lifesaver. It wasn’t luxurious, but it kept me warm enough to handle those frigid mornings.

One harsh winter, I discovered the factory heater just wasn’t cutting it. After I added an aftermarket floor heater, the whole cab became much more comfortable. With that and the heated seat, even the coldest mornings felt manageable.

When I was using an older machine that didn’t have proper heating, I installed a small aftermarket cab heater. It wasn’t the best, but with the seat warmer, it helped take the edge off during those long, cold hours.
