best way to install a block heater on a JCB T4 engine

I finally buy a 2018 JCB 4CX with the JCB T4 engine, but moving it from Florida to 10K feet up means I desperately need a block heater install. The stick on oil pan heater just isn't cutting it for these mountain winters.
Looking at the parts manual, it seems the heater screws into the front of the block near the oil filler.

Can anyone with a 4CX confirm if that’s a threaded port or just a freeze plug?
Access looks like a nightmare possibly requiring me to pull the radiator hoses and hood latch assembly. Is there a secret shortcut, or should I just give up on the block heater and install an inline radiator hose heater instead?

I’m no expert myself, but I did a little research. Here’s what I came up with hopefully, someone more knowledgeable will add their thoughts.

It appears that the port near the oil filler is usually a freeze plug, not a threaded port, so it’s smart to be cautious. Getting to it can be a bit challenging, and you might need to remove the radiator hoses. If that seems like too much hassle, an inline radiator hose heater could be a solid alternative. You’ll still get heat, just not directly into the block.

I gave the inline heater a shot first, thinking it would be the easier option, but those cold starts were still a struggle. I finally decided to go for the block heater. Sure, getting to it is a nightmare, but once it’s installed, you’ll be kicking yourself for not doing it sooner. Mornings in the mountains become a whole lot more bearable

I remember dealing with that same hassle on a chilly job site, and let me tell you, that front port is definitely threaded, not just a freeze plug.
The access is still a pain, though I had to shuffle around hoses and brackets just to get to it.
But trust me, once winter rolls around, it’s so much better than relying on pan heaters alone.
