Winter diesel problems with old JCBs

When it gets cold, usually diesel gets weird. Wondering if your old JCB will keep going or just quit on you. I'm thinking about that fuel gelling issue and how to not get stuck with it this winter. Got any tricks that work? Additives? Ways to store fuel? Any tips would be great. Let's help each other keep these machines running even when it's freezing.

A few winters ago, my old trail-clearing machine had some fuel gelling issues. But keeping the fuel in a warm shed and adding winter blend stuff before it got too cold seemed to do the trick. I haven't had issues since then.

I was caught off guard by the first freeze when I was using an old JCB for weekend work. After that, I began taking care of each fuel tank early in the season and keeping the machine full. Cold starts were way less of a headache.

One January, my diesel turned to slush overnight, which taught me a important lesson. I've been adding a nice anti-gel and keeping more fuel stored in a heated part of the garage ever since. It's nothing fancy, but when the temps fall, it keeps everything running.
