Weekend hobbies that have nothing to do with tractors

I’m really into woodworking these days. Built a deck last summer, and now I’m all about making cutting boards. There’s something special about using hand tools after a week of heavy machinery, it feels different. Plus, my wife loves what I create, so that’s a bonus.

I try to go fly fishing whenever I can. A few years ago, my buddy took me out to a creek, and now I’m hooked no pun intended! It’s such a change from working with machines, it’s just you and the water, and you have to work hard not to fall in. It’s a great way to unwind.

I’ve been mostly mountain biking lately. I picked it up during COVID and I’ve kept at it.
There’s an awesome trail system just about 20 minutes from my house.
It’s way cheaper than therapy and helps keep me from going stir-crazy on the weekends.

The wife and I do several different types of stained glass projects - traditional cut and soldered glass, fused glass, and sand-carved (sand-blasted) glass.
