Does anyone know of a good post pounder that will work with my 2017 JCB 3cx?
To ensure a post pounder works with your 3CX, verify that the attachment's hydraulic flow and pressure requirements match your machine's auxiliary circuit. For your 2017 model, the auxiliary flow rate is about 32 gallons per minute at 3600 PSI. Many top pounders from brands like Eterra or Shaver have models that fit this range. What kind of posts do you plan to drive and what are the ground conditions? Have you checked the GPM requirements for any pounder models you're looking at?Does anyone know of a good post pounder that will work with my 2017 JCB 3cx?
Driving drill pipe into rocky sandstone clarifies the application requirements significantly.I'm using drill pipe. Ground conditions shouldn't be a issue, kinda rocky but it's sand stone. Thanks for helping with the hydraulic requirements. I am tired of augers and concrete.
Perfect, that confirms the specs. A nitrogen hammer with a grapple and tilt sized for 2 3/8" and 2 7/8" pipe is exactly the right setup for driving into that sandstone.I have a lot of pipe 2 3/8 and 2 7/8 if I can find one with a grabber and tilt absolutely. Buy once cry once.
