JCB tyre pressures field vs road

I just took my JCB out for a spin in both mud and on asphalt, and now I’m curious if my tyre pressures are affecting either efficiency or comfort.

What pressures do you typically use in the field compared to on the road without damaging the tyres?

Honestly, I like to play it safe by keeping the PSI a couple points lower for mud and a few points higher for pavement. It usually means a comfortable ride and keeps the tires in good shape.

In softer fields, I’ll let out just enough air to achieve a nice squish and grip.
When I hit the road again, I inflate them back to the higher pressure,
which helps prevent any strange wear or bouncing.

Look for the max pressure sticker on the JCB, and make small adjustments,
drop the pressure a bit for soft ground and pump it up for asphalt. This way, you maintain comfort and efficiency.

I typically lower the PSI a bit when I’m driving through mud to gain better traction, and then increase it for road trips. It makes the ride smoother and protects the tires from getting too worn out.
