Thinking back what were your Thanksgivings like growing up?

My family would dedicate the whole week to getting ready, and by the time the day rolled around, it felt like our house had a life of its own, people laughing, delicious food cooking, and everyone crammed around the table. What was it like in your home back then?

Our gatherings were small and cozy just a handful of us around the table. Yet I can still vividly recall the delicious aroma of turkey wafting through the house and the thrill of sneaking extra slices of pie when no one was watching.
