Strange noise on newly purchased JCB 8060

I just had a 2008 JCB 8060 Excavator delivered...about 600 miles from where I bought it. During the test run, everything seemed fine. But now that it's here, I'm hearing a steady humming or buzzing sound beneath the floorboard after it warms up. The tone shifts slightly when I use the controls, but the machine operates normally, has anyone run into this before?
 
That noise might be the hydraulics, could be flow or a relief valve acting up when loaded. Give the mounts and lines close to the valve block a quick look to see if anything's loose

I'd also suspect a hydraulic issue, given the symptoms you described.. My first guess would be a hydraulic hose or line vibrating against the chassis or another component somewhere under the floor. Another possibility is a hydraulic pump or motor on its way out, but since it's operating normally, I'd check the simpler things first so check all the hoses and lines under the cab for any signs of rubbing. A quick fix might be just to zip-tie it away from whatever it's touching. If that doesn't work, maybe crack open the floor and see if you can pinpoint the source!!
 
I'd agree with @yourguyharold.. it's almost certainly a hydraulic issue but probably not something major. Before you start ripping up the floorboards, check the engine and hydraulic pump mounts. A lot of times, a worn rubber bushing or a loose bolt on a mount can cause a humming vibration that gets worse once the fluids warm up and get a bit thinner. It's a quick check and an easy fix. Also closely inspect the main hydraulic lines connected to the pump and see if any of them are vibrating or rubbing against a frame rail or another solid surface. Often, a new clamp is all you need to solve the problem. If the humming continues, then it might be time to check under the cab floor.
 
@JuiceBox1 yeah, that sounds like a hydraulic system issue. Check the hydraulic fluid level. A low fluid level can cause the pump to cavitate and make a buzzing or humming sound, especially as it warms up
it's also possible there's a partially clogged hydraulic filter. A restriction in flow can cause pressure to build up, leading to a humming sound
 
Did you check the filters to see if they are still good? How about the hydraulic oil level and also if any hoses or fittings are vibrating against the cab floor since those can amplify the sound?

As long as the machine runs and everything is clean. You can consider it in good working condition.
 
If I were you, I’d drop the floor panel or remove the cab mat and use a stethoscope / mechanic’s probe to localize the noise source. Once you know if it’s pump, motor, piping, or mount, repair becomes way easier.
