Rebuilding my 3cx

My 3cx has been sitting in the shed for a while now because it stopped working but I finally mustered up the courage and some time to tear into the engine for a full rebuild, I took the head off, pistons are out, and getting ready to drop in new cam bearings. I've done a few overhauls before, but this tier 4 setup has its own quirks because the gasket surfaces had to be spotless, and I'm not even trying to take any chances with timing, so please these gear marks better line up or it's a long day. Already saw how easy it is to mess up a seal if you don't seat it just right, trying to do this as by the book as possible but I'd need inputs and hearsays and thoughts cos I know this wont be a one day work

Tier 4 is tough. Just make sure to check those gear marks and cam bearings, get the lube right, and lock the timing with the pin. Take your time, it's really worth it. By the way, what engine do you have in your 3CX?

Yeah jsut take your time... clean surfaces, properly seated cam bearings and aligned timing marks are crucial. Dont rush the seals or gears, mark or photo each step so you've got a reference if something looks off. It surely is a multi-day job, so pacing yourself and staying organized will save a lot of headaches.

Always remember to oil everything up before you dive into the installation. If you skip that step and go for a dry assembly, you could end up scoring those bearings.
