I am having trouble with my older JCB 3CX loader. While loading dirt, it suddenly stopped moving, there is no forward or reverse, though the engine starts fine. It's mostly mechanical, so I'm not sure it's an electrical issue, has anyone experienced this before or know what to check?

I couldn't remember the details very well but I think it happened to my older backhoe. You should check the shuttle shift cable. Might also be worth checking the linkage or fluid levels

Did you check the shuttle shift fluid level or linkage? Sometimes it's just a worn cable or low pressure in the transmission system, does the transmission light show anything when you try to shift?

Do you now recall if checking the shuttle shift cable and fluid levels actually fixed the issue on your older backhoe?

Thanks, anyway I ended up fixing it by adjusting the shuttle shift cable and topping off the transmission fluid. Once that was done, forward and reverse worked perfectly again
