Hey, I just got my 3C out of storage, and I'm having some trouble. The Perkins engine turns over, but it won't start. The kill switch feels a bit loose. Does anyone know if it's hard to get to the pump?

If your engine was okay before you stored it, and now the kill switch feels loose, check that first. Try bypassing it briefly to see if fuel is flowing, just be cautious and ready to shut down manually if needed.

Don’t assume the pump is bad, a loose kill switch is a red flag. Before tearing into the pump, check wiring voltage there when you try to start. If no power, the switch or wiring’s the culprit. If power is going in but pump doesn’t actuate, then you’ve got more work ahead.

Hey, also give the fuel cutoff solenoid plunger a look. If it's been sitting, it might be stuck and blocking fuel even when it's powered. Try pushing it to see if that frees it up.
