jcb 214s steering off after repair

Swapped the rear axle on my JCB 214S 4-wheel steer and now the thing crabs when driving straight. I kept everything from the old setup... ram, tie rods, position sensor... and only unbolted/disconnected what I had to. Axle bolted back in tight, no obvious play or casting differences. But once it's back together, the rear looks straight and the front looks cocked. The steering modes still switch fine, so I'm thinking the issue is either the position sensor being slightly off or the tie rods needing a reset. So here's the blunt question: has anyone actually fixed this by nudging the sensor, or is it always a tie rod alignment issue after an axle swap? I don't want to chase a "maybe" sensor problem if this is really just about centering the linkage.

@Blind_Morgan had the same issue before with my JCB, and you're right, the position sensor is the cause.
Even a fraction of an inch of change in its mounting position can throw off the entire steering angle.
The steering controller is trying to command a straight position based on the sensor's input, but since the sensor is slightly off, the wheels are ending up cocked.
Before you touch the tie rods, loosen the sensor's mounting bolts and try to nudge it just a tiny bit to get the wheels straight. This is the first and easiest thing to try.

The sensor's not the issue. The steering modes work, meaning the sensor and ECU are communicating to each other just fine.
