If you could design a custom JCB what features would it have?

Imagine stepping beyond the usual factory specs, what kind of upgrades, controls, or tweaks to the powertrain would you envision for your perfect JCB? We’d love to hear about your dream build.

I’d choose a hybrid powertrain, something with diesel and electric assist to boost torque and save on fuel. It’d be great to have joystick steering, 360° cameras, and a comfy adjustable air-ride seat for those long hours in the cab. And how about a built-in tool storage bay for easy access when you’re on-site?

I know it sounds like a weird one but I think a really small wheeled digger would be very useful. A sub 3 wheeled excavator that could be put in a trailer behind the car that could quickly drive around small sites, gardens and farms for digging, levelling or lifting that would take a person hours but doesn't justify a larger machine or trying to track a small digger around as they are slow and cut up the ground.
