Hydraulic speed control switch keeps blowing fuse

Running into a lil (big) something with my JCB 3CX and hoping someone here could help me out. The hydraulic speed control switch keeps blowing the fuse every time I try to use it. Its funny the machine runs fine otherwise, but the moment I hit that switch...pop, fuse gone. I checked for obvious shorts and frayed wires around the joystick and harness, but nothing stood out.
I'm wondering if it's the switch itself failing internally or if there's a deeper issue in the circuit, maybe a solenoid drawing too much load. Not sure if I should just swap the switch and see what happens, or dig further into the wiring loom first.

Don't just throw a new switch at it just yet, you'll likely just blow another fuse!! The hydraulic speed control switch on the 3CX is tied into a solenoid that controls the hydraulic flow so you're right to be considering the solenoid too.. When that starts to go bad, it can draw too much current and pop the fuse. I'd suggest disconnecting the solenoid's harness and then hitting the switch. If the fuse doesn't blow, you've found the root of the issue. If it still blows, then you've got a short in the wiring between the switch and the solenoid, or the switch itself is shorted internally. Do older 3CX machines often have this fuse issue? And if the solenoid is bad, can someone fix it on their own or is it better to let a shop do it? Thanks!
