Handling tough ground

Been using my auger to set up fence posts but hit some areas packed with rocks and heavy clay. What’s the best way to deal with challenging soil like this?

A rock or digging bar can really help you bust through. Also, trying to pre-drill or soak the clay beforehand can make the job simpler
