At first, I was all about following the factory greasing schedule to the tee. But after dealing with a muddy season, I figured out that it just didn’t cut it. How do you handle greasing in real-world situations? Do you stick to the specs, or do you adapt on the fly?

Yeah, I definitely learned the hard way. I did a spring job in thick mud, followed the manual to a tee, and ended up with squeaky joints everywhere. Now I check daily and grease as needed.

I used to stick to the factory schedule without question, but one rainy week turned my loader into a mud magnet. I learned to grease more often, especially after bad weather. Manuals are just guides, not rules.

Once in winter, I followed the manual exactly, but everything froze and seized anyway. Now, I assess the conditions and add extra grease when it gets messy or wet. It’s way more effective, and I’ve avoided a lot of frustration.
