I’ve been tuning the controls on my electronic shovel, and I’ve noticed that when I use a newer machine, the controls can feel a bit jumpy or sometimes even delayed. I heard someone mention adjusting the 'deadband reduce' setting. Has that actually made a difference for you, or did it just lead to more issues?

Last spring, I messed with the deadband setting on my new excavator.
It smoothed the controls a bit.
I went too far once and chased the bucket all over.
Small changes are key!

I had the same problem with a jumpy joystick on my new shovel. I did the deadband thing; it made the controls way smooth. But careful not to go too far; makes detail work a pain.

Last winter, my excavator was too jumpy. I changed the deadband setting, and it worked great and felt normal. Change it a little, check it, then change again. Too much makes new problems.
