Tracked vs. wheeled JCBs which do you prefer for most jobs?

When you're out there on the job you've likely had the opportunity to work with both tracked and wheeled JCBs. For the tasks you tackle most often which one do you lean towards? What has your experience been like with each type?

If you have to travel any distance at all I think the wheeled is a no brainer. That said for longer ours the tracked machines are much more stable and don't take as much energy to drive.

Wheels on asphalt are much smoother.
Tracks for dirt work. Wheels if I am back- filling dirt because I can pack the dirt better. With tracks, there is not enough down pressure to get a good pack.

Totally makes sense. Wheels for smooth surfaces, tracks for rugged terrain.
